James met Kimo in high school in the small town of Middletown, California in 1982. Rumor has it that Kimo turned around in history class and asked James ” Hey do you want to learn to play the bass guitar?” James said yes and the musical adventure between these two began.

A few short years later and Monty Devita was added to the group as a Bass Player/vocalist and James moved to his true love, The Drums.

Through the years James has played with Monty and Kimo in several different groups and with individual artists, recently including Kaylee Starr and Tatiana McPhee and her Wayward Coyotes, who James still works with when he’s not out with Cash Creek.
